Chart notes
GYPSY WIFE was reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the second turn, responded to steady urging and was up late. DIPLOMATICA was away in good order to duel for the lead with INDY'S STAR from the inside, opened a clear margin into the lane but could not resist the winner late. INDY'S STAR broke sharply to dispute the pace with DIPLOMATICA while racing three-wide and gave way after going three-quarters. YES PLEASE lacked early speed, saved ground through the second turn and did not threaten. METAROSE settled off the leaders early, moved three-wide through the second turn and weakened. THE RACE WAS HAND TIMED.
