MAGICAL WAYS showed the way in hand five paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking three wide through the turn, swung four wide into upper stretch and was roused straightened away, edged clear to the eighth pole, dug in holding well and clear to the finish kept to task. SUCCEED coaxed from the gate, chased seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then five wide through the turn under coaxing from the three-eighths, went seven wide into upper stretch, ran on to chase the winner home cutting into that rival's margin late while along well clear of the rest and second best. STEADY PROGRESS six paths off the inside down the backstretch, went four wide through the turn under coaxing from the three-eighths, swung five wide into upper stretch and weakened while along for the show honors. FINANCIAL STRENGTH chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three to four wide through the turn coaxed along from midway, went three wide into upper stretch and tired. GLOBAL IMAGE stumbled at the break and was bumped by GOLDEN PURCHASE and then PEJA DU at the start, chased three wide until tucked inside through the turn coming under coaxing near the three=-eighths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. PEJA DU broke in at the start bumping the rear of GLOBAL IMAGE, chased seven to eight paths off the inside down the backstretch and then six wide through the turn, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and made no impact.
