Chart notes
WELLING settled close inside then took over toward the three quarter pole and rated the pace, came under pressure approaching the five sixteenths, rounded the far turn at the rail and was steadily encouraged in the lane. LATE NIGHT LARRY had the early lead then stalked off the rail nearing the three quarter pole, gave chase from the seven sixteenths, raced off the rail on the far turn but had to settle for second best. MAXIMUM IMPACT saved ground, started a bid leaving the half mile pole, rounded the far turn near the rail and dueled through the stretch for third. HOBE SOUND settled off the rail, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn about the three path and was outfinished in the stretch duel for third. RRACE DAY WARRIOR settled back in the two and three paths, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole but showed little response. KING THEO raced four wide early and gave chase outside leaving the second turn, but weakened while saving ground on the far turn.
