Chart notes
VIDIANO raced off the pace up the backstretch, came around the turn in the three path, began a bid in upper stretch and gained ground late quickly to pull clear. CITY OF CLOUDS dueled on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, raced in the three path around the bend and continued to battle in the stretch but was caught late. WALT WHITMAN (IRE) trailed the field up the backstretch, raced in the four path around the turn and gained ground quickly in the final furlong. CRUISING DEREK dueled between horses up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and kept on to the finish. FALK dueled on the inside through the early going, continued to battle while saving ground around the turn and in upper stretch and weakened in the final strides. CATALINA EXPRESS raced in the middle of the pack through the opening stages, came around the bend in the two path and was outkicked in the lane.
