Chart notes
ARCTIC ROSE has an awkward start and was rank around the first turn then split horses entering the backstretch to take the lead, was headed at the five sixteenths pole and matched strides down the stretch inside of SCREENPLAY and dug in to win the nod. SCREENPLAY went to the lead around the first turn then pressed the pace down the backstretch, engaged the leader at the five sixteenths pole and fought gamely outside of ARCTIC ROSE down the stretch but lost the nod. SMOKY TOPAZ was forwardly placed through the turn then lacked room entering the stretch and moved out to three wide to show late interest to be up for the show. FOOLISH DREAMS was allowed to settle inside into the first turn then checked at the seven furlong pole and veered out to the three path down the backstretch then moved out to four wide around the final turn to move up and challenge the leaders but was empty late. CUSTOMIZE MY QUEST was off the pace through the turn then ran into traffic and moved out to five wide in upper stretch but lacked the late response.
