Chart notes
MERLAZZA allowed to settle off the inside, continued under patient handling the middle half, asked along in the three path into the lane, firm handling to the wire to be in time with a well measured ride. PINK ACE broke in but alertly, cleared toward the inside into the first turn, set an ultra slow pace while continuing inside, quickened a bit into the lane to expand that advantage, nailed in the late going while saving the place. EXPONENTIAL STAR also content to set back off the soft fractions while outside, three wide through the second turn, three into the lane in front of the winner, could not match that one late while getting to the runner up. KLASSY BRIDGETTE bobbled at the start when in a bit tight, back off the pace and the inside, angled out to be four wide into the stretch, displayed a mild amount of late interest to improve position, not a serious threat to the top three at the wire. UNSTABLE PRINCESS squeezed back break, trailed, called on for run late in the second turn, improved inside of rivals into the lane, also was not a serious threat. SANTA FE GOLD broke out, lacked speed, came five wide for the drive, picked off a couple of tiring rivals while not making an impact. SUNSET PAYNTER chased those soft fractions in the two path and had little left. STELLAR LILY also in the second flight, saved ground throughout, gave way drive.
