Chart notes
NEW YEAR'S FEVER set the pace while under pressure from the inside, shook clear into the lane then drew off while being ridden out. WIN ME OVER chased the pace from the three path through the turn, came into the lane from the four or five path and stayed on well to gain the place spot. BLUEGRASS PRAYER stalked the winner from the three path through the turn, had aim on the top one into the lane, could not gain on that one and lost the place spot on the wire. FOLLOW THE MONEY was never a menace while near the inside. SPOKE pressed the winner while along the inside through the turn then faded down the lane. FRIDAY NIGHT RIGHT never a factor while along the inside. VICTOR'S DEAL trailed into the lane while in the three or four path and never was a factor. VENICE BEACH was done early while in the three or four path.
