Chart notes
DESERT RULER stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, challenged while saving ground around the turn, dueled in upper stretch and kicked clear late. IMPERIAL KING chased the pace setter on the outside through the opening quarter of a mile, came around the turn in the three path, dueled in the lane and was outfinished in the final sixteenth of a mile. INTER MIAMI tracked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the three path, raced in tight quarters and switched out to the four path near the quarter pole and kept on in the lane. BLAKENSTEIN led the way on the inside through the early going, dueled from the two path around the bend and faded in the stretch. OLD TOWN ROAD raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and made no bid. NEWYEARSBLOCKPARTY raced off the pace on the inside through the opening stages, continued around the turn in the three path and was empty in the lane. THE RIDER OF HORSE THREE, INTER MIAMI, FILED AN OBJECTION AGAINST HORSE FIVE, IMPERIAL KING, CITING INTERFERENCE NEAR THE QUARTER POLE. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
