Chart notes
LADY IN RED hopped on the break, was hustled early to take command outside runners at the nine sixteenths pole, opened up slightly as they entered the turn, was headed outside as they straightened out for the drive, was well rated up front and had more in reserve to draw away when roused. FEDALINE tracked the frontrunner between foes in the beginning, kept a close eye on the speed throughout the turn, threatened for the lead outside entering the stretch, was repelled at the furlong marker and finished up to be a clear second. STOLE THE RING had a nice outside stalking position keeping tabs on the early leaders racing on the turn, took closer order to the pacesetters at the quarter pole, but could not find another gear to threaten the top two and finished mildly for a clear third. MANITOULIN ISLAND was shuffled slightly while inside at the three eighths pole, continued to be urged for more on the rail as they straightened out for the drive, could not keep pace with the leaders and held on well enough for a minor award. SOME LIKE IT HOT trailed the field inside after the start, offered a mild turn of foot with five sixteenths left to run and could only produce an even finish running to the wire. NEPRIKLAUSOMA DAMA rated unhurried in mid pack, could not gain on rivals throughout the turn and was not a presence in the final furlong. PANIC SWITCH hopped at the start, was allowed to settle near the back in the early going and could not get involved in the late stages of the race.
