Chart notes
BENCH PRESS was slow into stride but motivated early, settled on the turn, made a four wide move on the far turn, then hit the front at the furlong marker and drew clear to prove best under a drive. SIR STEELE tracked the pace four wide, made a three wide bid on the turn to gain a short advantage, but could not go with the winner in the furlong grounds, second best. SYLVIA I AM was rated early on the inside, three wide on the turn and swung out five wide leaving the turn and was up for then show award. DON'T QUESTION ME tracked the pace and made a inside bid leaving the turn but flattened out the final furlong, lost show award late. HE'S FANCY FREE vied for the lead on the inside, then was two wide by the quarter pole and weakened in the lane. ALWAYS THERE vied for the lead three wide and stopped on the turn and was eased in the lane, walked off.
