Chart notes
LINCHPIN STORM set the pace outside, responded to a challenge from SHORTY THE SWEDE, and held firm. SHORTY THE SWEDE prompt the pace from inside, pressed the issue near the three-sixteenth marker, matched strides into the stretch and weakened late. EXPLODE allowed to settle off the pace, ranged up four wide at the head of the lane, and lacked the closed needed. MACHINE chased outside, and bid belatedly. COMMON KNOWLEDGE hurried inside, and was outrun under encouragement. BIG AL'S VISION outsprinted to the turn, dropped back, and failed to threaten. KVOTHE never involved.
