GOING TO SHABOOMS prominent in the early running, set the pace into the first turn, conceded the lead to CLASS CODE and stalked that rival through moderate fractions to the half-mile marker, lost ground on the second turn, re-rallied in upper stretch, made a steady advance on CLASS CODE in the drive, came within aim inside of the sixteenth-marker, surged in the final strides and won the nod on the wire to prevail. CLASS CODE forwardly placed into the first turn, stalked GOING TO SHABOOMS into the backstretch run, took command from that rival entering the backstretch and set moderate fractions to the half-mile marker, drew to a clear lead along the far turn, maintained a clear lead to mid-stretch, kept to task under steady urging to the sixteenth-marker, was caught by the winner in deep stretch and held safely in the end for second. MISS EVER READY allowed to settle in the early running, saved all of the ground to the second turn, was steered three wide into the stretch, did not impact the top two in the late stages and offered a mild rally in the final furlong. MISS FLAWLESS (FR) broke in good order, refused to run in the first furlong despite her rider's best efforts, was pulled up prior to the first turn and walked off under her own power.
