Chart notes
PAUL VINCENTS POEM was away in good order to duel for the lead with ACE AND KINGS and ROCKY JACK while racing three-wide, vied into deep stretch and edged away late. TAP THE BRAKES was reserved just off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the turn, could not gain on the winner but finished with good energy to gain the place. FIRE WHEN READY was void of early speed, raced three-wide through the turn and finished with a steady bid. CROSS EXAMINE was off slow then allowed to settle, raced four-wide through the turn, angled out further into the stretch and finished with a late bid. ACE AND KINGS broke sharply to dispute the pace with the winner from the inside and gave way late. DESCENT settled off the leaders from the inside, reached a contending position but failed to gain late. MANY ROSES raced off the pacesetters early, moved six-wide through the turn and gave way in the drive. ROCKY JACK vied for the lead while racing four-wide and weakened after going a half.
