Chart notes
THE COOKIE MAN away alertly, set all the pace, shook clear in upper stretch and prevailed under brisk handling. OVER THE HILLS chased the winner and held on for second in the four path. CUTLER stalked the pace from the start and finished with good courage along the inside. THE COACHMAN had good early speed between horses two wide, dropped back on the turn, altered course to the six path entering the stretch then came on again late. OTIS OTIS OTIS with the second flight three wide, offered a mild bid into the stretch then was outfinished in the five path. CHACO SPIRIT unhurried early, swung wide and closed ground late in them middle of the racetrack. KREWE CHIEF failed to menace.
