Chart notes
COSMO chased the pace down the backstretch while two wide, then rallied in the early stretch to move up and vie for the lead while five wide, drifted in then dueled with an inner foe and was up at the wire. MISTER K was in a hard drive to vie for the lead from the inside throughout the first three quarters, then inched away in the late stretch to duel with an outer rival and hung in the end. FIRST AVENUE raced behind the field down the backstretch, then bid on the turn to rally in the late stretch and closed strong and was up for the show prize. MALIBU S S chased the trio into the turn from the inside, then dug in gamely in the early stretch to vie between rivals, was taken up, angled out five wide to re bid but it wasn't enough in the end. TAPISTAR vied for the lead with two inner rivals down the backstretch and throughout the turn, continued to menace gamelty down stretch then gave way in the end. GRAPNEL vied for the lead between rivals throughout the course then gave way in late stretch. There was a STEWARD'S INQUIRY and JOCKEY'S OBJECTION following the race. The rider of MALIBU S S claimed foul against the rider of COSMO for interference in late stretch. After reviewing the replay, COSMO was disqualified and placed fourth.
