JOSH'S HONOR well placed and off the rail, gained a striking position on the two path through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, shook clear, then lasted under steady pressure. COLONEL POPPY mid pack and outside, moved up three and four wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch, then lacked the needed late kick and held the place. KOTYLOS tracked the pace, steadied on heels through the turn, angled three wide into the stretch and lacked the needed late kick, missed the place. ON AN ISLAND mid pack and bEtween, drifted into the two path into the turn, angled three wide into the stretch and flattened out. BAD AS JOHN never far back, steadied and was pinched back into the turn, then could not gain in the lane. LUMI sprinted to a clear lead quickly, then faded into the stretch. A STEWARDS INQUIRY AND A CLAIM OF FOUL LODGED BY THE RIDER OF ON AN ISLAND AGAINST THE RIDER OF COLONEL POPPY WAS NOT ALLOWED.
