Chart notes
BLAME IT ON EDDIE was hung four wide then three wide into the second turn, dropped inside, advanced behind PERCENTAGE through the far turn, shifted outside that one to the four path entering the stretch, was bumped near the furlong marker as that one drifted out, gained a narrow lead soon thereafter, drifted in bumping that one at the sixteenth pole and edged clear late under strong handling. AWESOME D J trailed into the far turn, swung wide and was steadily gaining ground late six wide. OPEN OUT pressed the pace two wide into the far turn, kept on but was outfinished while four wide. PERCENTAGE vied for the lead along the rail for five furlongs, got through to make the lead, set the pace into the stretch, drifted out bumping the winner near the furlong marker, was bumped late by that one causing his rider to check as the winner drifted in in front of him then faded. SAY HEY KID offered a mild bid four wide on the far turn then leveled off. KLAATU broke in front, set a pressured pace off the rail in the three path into the far turn, kept pressure on the leader into the stretch and weakened late. ROSAS WAY failed to menace. ADANO with the second flight two wide, was through after a half. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND THE RIDER OF PERCENTAGE LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF THE WINNER FOR INTEFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED BLAME IT ON EDDIE AND PLACED HIM FOURTH.
