Chart notes
KING'S OVATION established a loose advantage around the first turn, met a pair of outer challenges while well in hand turning for home, repelled those foes and shaking free in upper stretch, then inched away in the final furlong. INTREPID HEART tracked two wide, loomed a danger outside of the top pair around the far turn, but only managed to chase the clearing pace-setter through the lane, vied for place in the final furlong, and edged that position in the final sixteenth. OUTLIER shifted outside of the leader around the first turn, stalked before bidding two wide around the far turn, turned for home between horses, but was turned away by the leader in upper stretch, then lost place to his outer counterpart in the final sixteenth. ZOOMER laid off of the pace along the inside, took closer order before tracking the leading trio around the far turn, but shifted out while failing to keep pace in upper stretch and lacked a bid. ROMAN CENTURIAN trailed throughout without having pace to work with.
