NEW YORK PANTHER moved up off the inner rail leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn, drifted out turning for home, lugged in near the eighth pole, drifted out near the sixteenth pole and drove clear. TOAST TO COAST , four deep leaving the backstretch, bid for the lead near the three eighths pole, dueled with the winner in a game effort and his rider dropped his whip inside the eighth pole. CATCHING STARS , a forward factor along the inner rail on the first turn, dropped back on the backstretch, swung to the five path leaving the far turn and passed tired rivals. STEP AHEAD sprinted clear mid way on the first turn, set the pace to the far turn, saved ground on the far turn and gave way entering the stretch. BAND CAMP , three wide the first turn, chased the pace down the backstretch, circled the far turn four wide and gave way approaching the stretch.
