Chart notes
CUMBERLAND FALLS vied three wide for the lead, dueled on the backside, battled outside of AVANT on the far turn, led into the stretch, drew clear and then kept the edge through the final furlong. AVANT set the pace on the inside, vied inside on the backside, dueled with the winner on the far turn, shifted off the rail past the eighth pole, dug in gamely to the finish but second best. LAST GLIMMER tracked close up on the inside, chased the leaders on the far turn and failed to rally. PORTAGE stumbled and broke awkwardly, then raced erratically entering the clubhouse turn, stalked outside a rival and gave way on the far turn. MISS SENSIBLE vied between rivals, dueled on the backside, chased on the far turn and gave way.
