Chart notes
ICON never far back, rallied through wide through the turn, made the lead in upper stretch, drifted in a bit at the furlong marker and drew off under a hand ride. NICHOLAS JAMES pressed the pace two wide into the turn, made the lead, set the pace into the stretch, steadied inside the winner at the furlong marker, shifted to the five path then was no match while clear for second. TEMPLEMAN ALLEY well placed in the four path, went evenly. STRIKE A BEAT failed to menace. BRYCE'S ANGEL had good early speed along the inside, remained within striking distance into the stretch then faltered. HEY SACH away alertly, set a pressured pace along the rail until mid turn then was used up. THE RIDER OF NICHOLAS JAMES LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF ICON FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
