Chart notes
RUNAWAY JACK raced off the pace, saved ground on the turn, then lacked room behind horses to midstretch, swung out widest, responded quickly, closed willingly outside and won going away. DATS MR. MO stalked two wide, raced between rivals on the turn, rallied between horses in the stretch run and dug in for second. DEVILMENT briefly got loose in the post parade, then chased on the inside, rallied inside in the stretch, then closed late in the two path and got third. FREESTANDING set the pace on the inside, opened up on the turn and weakened in the final sixteenth. SPORTS EDITOR steadied at the start, raced two wide off the pace, went four wide past the quarter pole, bid and was outfinished. CITY HUMOR stalked the pacesetter early on, chased three wide on the turn and faded.
