PENNY'S PROSPECT inside speed to duel winner to deep stretch while no match in the late going. A. P. AVATAR chased top pair to stretch, grinded away in the stretch run but could not go on and settled for show. GRAY DAY shuffled back after the start, never menaced thereafter.
