Chart notes
DOCTOR ABBIE was off slowly, recovered to tracked the pace two wide, three wide into the lane and angled in as leader drifted out, closed up the inside to get up with a hundred yards to go and edged clear, driving. WILL TAKE ROSES set the early pace while unchallenged, then drew out on the turn and was three wide into the lane, drifted out by the furlong marker and then was shifted in to challenge rival closing on the inside but was caught, second best. GINGERS WISH chased the pace and was three wide on the backstretch and weakened, held show award. MELODIA was allowed to settle early, saved ground on the turn and had no rally.
