Chart notes
TAX CODE saved ground stalking the pace, slipped through along the inside to take the lead nearing the three-sixteenths pole, opened clear and maintained a safe advantage. NAVAL ESCORT was allowed to settle in stride while racing three-wide on the turn, came five-wide into the stretch and finished strongly. FIREWALKER was unhurried early, came six-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. PESO settled in mid pack while racing two-wide and lacked a late response. NAPOLETANO saved ground and improved his position. MIDNIGHT MOJO dropped back early, came three-wide into the stretch, split rivals during the drive and failed to threaten. TIG vied for the lead with Prime Example from along the inside, drifted out leaving the quarter pole and tired. PRIME EXAMPLE vied for the lead from along the outside to the stretch and gave way.
