Chart notes
BUS BUZZ dueled for the lead from inside, inched ahead early on the turn before clearing at the quarter pole, then drew off when asked right-handed. ROOKIE MISTAKE stalked the top pair up the backstretch, chased three then four wide around the bend, finished willingly through the lane but could not threaten the winner. SEATTLE BREAKOUT chased inside a pair of rivals while off the rail at the back, started to climb at the half-mile pole and dropped back to last, angled to the inside for the turn, steered out with a furlong remaining and gained the show. SMUGGLER'S RUN chased between rivals at the back early, four to five wide around the turn and failed to menace. EL DIABLO ROJO chased three deep off the pace, went four wide into the turn, came six wide into the stretch and was not a factor. TAPATIO LEO showed early speed then dueled outside BUS BUZZ, fought to the five-sixteenths then could not keep up approaching the quarter pole and retreated in the lane.
