THE PENINSULA was bumped at the start, raced off the pace, began to move up on the far turn, went three wide past the quarter pole, rallied outside, kicked in willingly in midstretch, ran to the front and drew clear. MAGICAL MARRIAGE was bumped at the start, stalked close up two wide, bid on the far turn, took over and shook free in the lane, dug in gamely but was no match for the winner. JIMMY DAN raced off the pace inside, moved up on the far turn, angled out, rallied mildly in the lane and closed late for third. ARRIO set the pace on the inside, dueled on the far turn, dug in and weakened late. SHIMMERING LEROID pulled early on, settled two wide off the pace, chased on the far turn and lacked a rally. VERBIER tracked on the inside, chased inside on the far turn and tired. HORNSWOGGLE raced two wide off the pace and did not factor. SHOULDHAVEBEENGONE was bumped at the start, had a three wide trip and was outrun.
