ZAVALA lead the lead down the backstretch and into the turn, continued to hold on gamely in the early stretch, then dueled with an outer rival in the final sixteenth and was out nodded in the end. NIGHTWIND chased the pace from the inside, then menaced heading in the stretch then dueled for the place position in late stretch but was best for show in the end. POSEIDONS WAVE tracked the pace while three wide in the second flight of rivals, was moving up on the turn top rally from the five path in the early stretch and closed willingly in the end. HARD GOLD chased the pace while three wide, menaced in the early stretch then continued to close well. SWEET TAPIN MORO raced between foes down the early backstretch, then moved up to bid on the turn from the inside but came up evenly in the stretch. CAPTAINS COVE raced close behind the field from the inside, then made a mild bid while four wide in the early stretch and was no threat. AMERICAN FOREST chased the pace while two wide, was in a hard drive on the turn then flattened out in the stretch. SAMSPLAYERSLOUNGE chased the pace while four wide then rallied on the turn but did not fire in the stretch. SMARTY RIDGE settled along the inside then continued to lose ground and was no menace.
