Chart notes
LIBBIES BABY vied for the lead while three wide, then inched away to take command heading into the turn, held on grudgingly throughout the early stretch then drifted out late, brushing rival and was up by a nose. BUD GIRL vied for the lead while four wide, then was urging steadily on the turn, dug in gamely in the early stretch and was closing strong but was forced out in late stretch by an inner rival and hung in the end. GOLDEN SLEW was bumped at the start, vied for the lead while five wide, then tracked the pace from the four path on the turn, lost crop around the three sixteenths and maintained bid to hold onto the show position in the end. RIVER'S END was bumped and forced out at the start, then chased the pace while five wide, bid gamely on the turn then closed well in the stretch but it wasn't enough. RON'S LAVENDER was unhurried early, angled out to the three path at the top of the turn, to rally in the stretch and was closing well but it wasn't enough. POQUITO LADY chased the pace while five wide, bid on the turn then flattened out in the stretch. MORO PRINCESS vied for the lead while two wide, then was in a hard drive to press the pace throughout the turn, was used up and weakened in late stretch. NOMOROTHAT raced in the three path then bid on the turn and needed more in the end. BREEZY BAY showed brief speed inside early then stopped and had no final bid. DEL MAR LABOR DAY was unhurried early then raced behind the pack while two wide and failed to rally. There was a JOCKEY'S OBJECTION in regards to the stretch drive. The rider of BUD GIRL claimed foul against the rider of LIBBIES BABY for interference in the late stretch. After reviewing the replay, LIBBIES BABY was disqualified and placed second.
