Chart notes
REIGN OF SPEED vied with SPARKS FLYIN for the lead from along the inside, shook that one off nearing the eighth pole and gradually increased his advantage. BRANNIGAN saved ground while being reserved off the pace, slipped through during the drive and ended up in a dead-heat for place with OWHATARUSH while gaining late. OWHATARUSH prompted the pace while racing three-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and ended up on even terms with BRANNGAN in a steady effort. ROYAL CANDY was off a step slow, then raced five-wide the final quarter and lacked a rally. SPARKS FLYIN vied for the lead into the stretch and tired. MY MAN STAN was unhurried early, came four-wide into the stretch and failed to menace.
