Chart notes
ELUSIVE EMPIRE rated under a firm hold early, took command through the far turn under confident handling, dug in late and prevailed under all out pressure. MUTAAWID settled off the early going while racing at the back of the pack early, moved up from the far outside in the stretch, surged late and missed in a game effort. KEANU showed good early speed to set the early pace while racing just off the inside, dropped down into the far turn, raced three wide in the drive and kept on willingly to the wire. ARTICO was unhurried early on, moved up gamely near the rail through the upper stretch and flattened out. CAPTAIN ANTHONY raced four wide around the first turn, raced from the outside down the backstretch, clip heels with rival, jockey of Captain Anthony claimed objection for interference nearing the five eighths pole against Elusive Empire, stewards ruled no change, raced four deep in the drive and kept on to the wire. RED'S REVENGE rated early under a firm hold, ridden along near the three eighths pole and faded in the drive. HARD TO HANDLE settled off the early pace and failed to respond.
