Chart notes
SHAMAYIM was off a bit slow, loomed up four wide along the outside, rated until the three eighths pole, circled the field, was given the cue at he quarter pole and drew off to win easily. Much the best. LOVING LUCKY was off a bit slow, saved ground early, started to gain ground at the five furlong pole, split horse at the half mile pole and was in good position, angled out at he five sixteenth pole and raced down the stretch in the eight path, was encouraged and kept on point,, responded well, raced all the way to the wire and came out with second. ELUSIVE D'ORO raced from off the pace, raced three wide an he improved position after the half, was four wide in the stretch, just missed for second. HELIOCHROME took the lead, saved ground on the rail, set a comfortable pace, faded late. MR. TIN MAN stalked the early pace. raced three wide, gave way. DECLARE WAR showed little. BAYOU SARGE flashed early speed.
