Chart notes
FORTY COMETS outrun early, advanced outside, swung wide into the stretch, then rallied clear with a late rush. BAILEY raced in closest pursuit of the pacesetter, bid to a clear lead in the stretch but tired in the final eighth. HORNBEAM lagged far behind then offered some late energy missing the place. IMA PHAROAH chased within striking range inside but lacked a solid rally. JARLIAN outrun early, bid under urging on the turn and moved very wide into the lane. CLASSY AMERICAN was very unruly in the gate unseating his rider then broke alertly and faded. LAZARETTO hustled to a long advantage down the backstretch then stopped in the stretch.
