Chart notes
SWEET BAKER broke alertly, gained first command, and led every step of the way while steadily widening the margin for a wire to wire score. AFLEET SNIPER showed reserve through the opening bend while travelling three wide, closed the gap on front runner along the backstretch, trekked the three path around the closing turn as the lone rival in second flight, and was best of rest while no match for the tough winner. TOAH settled into mid pack and saved ground throughout before finishing willingly to hold the show. MAGIC CARPET showed reserve and rated back through the opening half, saved ground through the closing bend, and was no threat to front runners. MEAN CANNON lacked a late bid after giving chase from between rivals. ROMANCER failed to menace from a trailing position.
