Chart notes
VENOMOUS STATE was away alertly, had the lead on the turn and from the three path at the top of the stretch was kept to task. ARTIE MY BOY was in touch, moved up on the turn and vied from the five path at the top of the stretch but was second best. BEYOND BORDERS had no speed, saved ground on the turn, angled out through the stretch and finished well. SUMMER RETREAT stalked the early leaders and was roused on the turn but from the six path at the top of the stretch had no response. TORPEDO MAX was hustled early and a factor from the inside on the turn but faded through the stretch. SOFIA'S SLUGGER was off the pace, showed little and was never a threat.
