SONYA KNOWS BETTER raced three wide, settled off of the pace and stalked the early front runnesr, was cued at the half mile pole, responded well and advanced improving position, drew beside the leader and matched strides past the quarter pole and into the furlong ground, was challenged by an outside closer, ducked in a stride at he eighth pole, was corrected and re focused, was under attack by the outside rival, was diven and encouraged and finally put his head in front and got the win. SNAKEBIT raced three wide and stalked the early leader, maintained position until the quarter pole, was put down for the drive, was encouraged and kept on point, closed three wide in the lane, challenged for the lead and battled for thelast eighth of a mile, just missed while racing a game race. GRAND ENCORE was off a step slow, was allowed to settle well off the pace and find his stride, was gathered and launched a bid at the half mile pole, continued to save ground and close up the rail gaining ground and building momentum into the stretch drive, shifted into the three path at the eighth pole, continued to close and go up for third. CUSTOM RED RUM had no impact. OWEN THE ICE MAN showed little. NOW NOW SAINT flashed early speed, took the lead while being asked to rate along the rail, set a moderate pace, was challenged after the half mile marker, was cleared by his challenging foe, then faded through the lane. MECKES PRIORITY was off a bit slow, found his stride and improved position, raced in the ifve path on the outside, was mid pack and in contention at the half mile pole then faltered. SONYA KNOWS BETTER WAS DQ'D DUE TO A POSITIVE TEST.
