SHERIFF BROWN held a good position, rallied five wide into the turn to challenge, dueled through the stretch and proved best. NUMEROLOGIST raced inside, dueled throughout and was outfinished in a game effort. CLAVICHORD pressed the pace while racing four across, bid between horses on the turn, dueled for the lead, yielded late and settled for show. EAST RAND dueled between horses, fell back on the turn and went evenly thereafter. GODDARD lagged while racing outside, swung wide entering the stretch and lacked a bid. OPEN ROAD failed to threaten in an even effort and was not urged. FIGHT ME dueled between horses, was taken back into the turn and stopped.
