Chart notes
PETULANTE raced off the pace inside, then two wide, chased the leaders on the far turn, angled out at the quarter pole, came four wide into the lane, rallied outside in the stretch run, dueled with NIMITZ CLASS passing the sixteenth marker and wore down that rival to prevail. NIMITZ CLASS raced four wide early, stalked close up three wide, then vied three wide at the half mile marker, dueled three wide on the far turn, gained a short lead, inched away at the eighth pole, then dug in gamely inside of PETULANTE and yielded grudgingly late. TRADEMARK raced two wide off the pace, three wide on the backside, moved up five wide at the quarter pole, rallied outside in the stretch and got up for third. ARTORIUS raced three wide early, stalked close up two wide, vied two wide on the backside, dueled between rivals on the far turn, dug in gamely in the two path in the stretch. BOURBONIC raced four wide on the first turn, moved up four wide on the backside to contest the pace, chased four wide on the far turn, came five wide into the lane and finished evenly. OCTANE set the pace on the inside, vied inside on the backside, dueled on the far turn and weakened in the final furlong. BOURBON CALLING broke a step slow, raced off the rail, off the pace and did not factor. EMPTY TOMB raced off the pace inside, moved up on the backside, chased on the far turn and faded.
