WHELEN SPRINGS raced four wide early, then stalked three wide, bid four wide on the far turn, dueled, drew clear in midstretch, then held well late. ANTIGRAVITY raced off the pace inside, advanced on the far turn, came five wide into the lane and closed well outside. IRISH EXIT was bumped at the start, set the pace, dueled two wide entering the far turn, dug in gamely between rivals in the stretch and earned the show spot. AMATTEROFTIME tracked close up on the inside, made a rail bid nearing the far turn, dueled inside and dug in gamely through the stretch drive. EXPENSIVE CUT stalked the pace, bid three wide on the far turn, then chased and weakened. ROYAL TRYST was outrun. NIGHT JUMPER pulled early and was steadied between rivals on the clubhouse turn, then stalked between foes and gave way.
