Chart notes
CAPTAIN QUICK stalked close up three wide, bid two wide on the turn, dueled into the stretch and drew clear under urging past the eighth pole. EMPIRE SKY raced three wide off the pace, moved up outside on the turn, came three wide into the lane, rallied outside, dug in gamely and earned the place spot. SILVER STYLE raced close up on the inside, tracked the leaders on the turn, angled out at the top of the lane, rallied between rivals in midstretch and dug in gamely to the end. THE COMPAS MAN (IRE) showed early speed to set the pace, dueled with the winner into the stretch, dug in to midstretch, then weakened. PAUL P trailed the field, raced two wide on the turn and failed to threaten. BRAD'S BET chased between rivals early, then inside on the turn and tired. LITERUN raced three or four wide off the pace and did not factor.
