Chart notes
THE ILLUSIONIST chased toward the inside, raced at the rail on the turn, eased out entering the stretch and dug in to take the nod in the final strides. PINK DINGHY set a pressured pace leaving the half mile pole and rounded the turn at the rail, his rider lost his whip nearing the eighth pole, dug in under a vigorous hand ride through the stretch but was caught in the final strides. LORD OF CORK chased outside, rounded the turn about the four path and just lasted for third. ELEANORS JACK gave chase toward mid track, raced in the six path on the turn, finished well and just missed third. NOW HOOK'EM pressured the pace through the backstretch, but dropped back leaving the quarter pole and flattened in the lane. BERTRAM FLIGHT gave close early chase outside but faded into the turn. WELL EQUIPPED dropped well back from early contention and saved ground.
