Chart notes
MANGIA PANE saved ground setting the pace, repulsed a bid from ALL THE KING'S MEN nearing the quarter pole, opened clear nearing the eighth pole and maintained a safe advantage. BRANNIGAN saved ground while being reserved off the pace, moved forward along the inside in the stretch, angled out nearing the sixteenth pole and finished fast. ALL THE KING'S MEN prompted the issue while racing two-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the quarter pole and then flattened out during the drive. WESTERBERG was allowed to settle in stride, came four-wide into the stretch and went evenly. MY DAD IS THIRSTY dropped back after stumbling at the start and was unable to recover the lost ground. CHARLIE'S MAN was unhurried early, came four-wide into the stretch and failed to threaten.
