Chart notes

MISS UNION stalked the fast early pace while outside of rivals, gained ground while three wide on the turn, was roused in upper stretch and made a quick move while three wide nearing mid-stretch, took command at the furlong marker and kicked clear in the final sixteenth to prevail. HOT RAGEOUS took back off of the fast early pace and saved ground into the turn, made a mild advance at the quarter marker, raced two then three wide into upper stretch, angled four wide at the furlong marker, closed well in deep stretch and was up in the final strides to secure second. DULCE EMMA chased the fast early pace from the inside, kept attendance to the pacesetter through the turn, vied for the lead into upper stretch, could not keep pace with the winner in the final furlong and was nailed at the finish for second, while holding safely for third. LOTSA PEPPER bobbled leaving the start but recovered nicely and showed good early speed, dictated terms to the turn, set fast fractions to the quarter marker, was confronted in upper stretch, battled to the furlong grounds and faded in the final stages. SWIFT NONNI was prominent in the early running and chased the pacesetter to the turn, lost ground while two then thee wide along the bend, could not keep pace into upper stretch and tired in the drive.
