Chart notes
BEYOND THE BEND was rated early on the inside, made a two wide move on the turn in hand to go on even terms by the quarter pole for command, then slowly edged clear in the drive to prove best under left handed crop urging. I SEE THE STARS dueled for the lead on the inside, made a bid to shake clear on the turn, then was confronted by the winner by the quarter pole, dug in gamely in the lane but could not match strides late, second best. OBROTHER ITSYLVIA was allowed to settle early, advanced two wide by the quarter pole, finished willingly but needed more, bested rest. REFUND RIGLER was away alertly to duel for command three wide early, then fell off the pace on the turn and weakened in the drive. DIXIE CANNONBALL tracked the pace three wide, four wide by the quarter pole and then was empty in the drive. EDWARD MADDEN bobbled at the start, chased the pace on the inside and weakened.
