Chart notes
JOSE PATIO led the way on the inside up the backstretch, raced in the two path around the turn, kicked clear entering the stretch and held off a closer late. TOTAL SURPRISE raced off the pace on the inside through the opening quarter of a mile, began a bid from the three path coming around the turn and continued to gain ground late. SWEET ANALYZER trailed the field up the backstretch, raced in the two path around the turn, began a bid passing the quarter pole and improved position in the lane. R VOO'S TABOO tracked the pace setter between horses early, navigated the bend from the two path and weakened in the final furlong. ARTIE BELOW ZERO hopped up mildly leaving the gate, raced off the pace up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and made no bid. CAT ON THE PROWL raced in the middle of the pace on the inside through the opening quarter, saved ground around the turn and faded in the lane. POSITIVE PETEY chased the leader on the outside up the backstretch, began to drop back while racing in the three path around the turn and continued to tire in the stretch.
