CLUB MESQUITE saved ground early, trailed the field up the backstretch, swung out to the four path to began a bid coming around the far bend and drew off in the lane. UNLEASH THE BEAST raced in the three path early, dueled on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the three path coming around the far turn, was caught in upper stretch and chased the winner home from there. HIGHTAIL COWBOY dueled on the inside around the first turn and up the backstretch, continued to battle from the rail coming around the second turn and gave way in the final furlong. SMART CALL raced in the two path early, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack on the inside, saved ground around the far bend and showed no kick. DILLON ROCKS raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the opening half mile, continued around the far turn in the three path and made no bid. NIETZSCHE raced in the two path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch off the pace, dropped back while saving ground around the second turn and was empty in the stretch.
