SURLY FURIOUS tracked the pace, raced boxed through the turn, waited, came through, then lost his path, steadying on heels, angled three wide inside the furlong marker, made a steady gain and drove clear late. FRANZ JOSEF unhurried, gained position three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the stretch, made a steady gain, edged ahead late, then was no match for the winner, while best of the rest. TAPE TO TAPE set the pace on the inside, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong and held the show. SPIRITED SOL rated close up and off the rail, lost some ground two and three wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and flattened out. ZOOMBIE stalked the pace on the outside, held position on the two path through the turn, came three wide into the stretch and had no rally.
