Chart notes
STRAWBERRY SUNDAE vied for the lead, controlled the pace, was un contested as she went wire to wire. SIXTH ANNIVERSARY was racing mid pack and in the four path, rated down the back side, launched a bid at the three eighths pole, hooked another competitor at the five sixteenth pole battled with that one down the stretch and into the furlong ground, could not overcome the winner but managed to hold off the rest, doing enough for the place spot. ANITA'S VISION stalked the front runner from the inside in the two path, saved ground and improved position, moved into the second flight through the turn on the inside, shifted out into the three path in an effort to move out from behind the leader, hooked an outside closing rival, battled until the aftert he sixteenth then chased hold in go for third. DREWSILLA raced in the rail from mid pack, was in hands and relaxed, moved at the half mile pole, shifted into the four path at the quarter pole, responded well to urging and closed into the furlong ground but to no avail. MS. CAJUN QUEEN was in the four path and racing from off of the pace, launched a bid at the three eighths pole, circled the field through the turn, then faded. DEROUTANTE was off a bit slow, raced in the three path, was well off of the pace and never got involved. BE A BANDIT was racing two and three wide, stalked the front runner then tired.
