Chart notes
KAREN'S WAY dueled for the lead on the inside, then rated off the duel on the turn, bumped leaving the turn while making a bid, gained a short lead by the furlong marker and shook clear, then held on late to prove best, driving. FIELD LETTERS was settled early, two wide on the turn, eased out and came five wide into the lane, closed well on the outside but could not get to the winner late, second best. HALLIGIRL chased the pace from the inside, came three wide into the lane, then was between rivals and bumped a rival by the sixteenth marker and got the show award late. HIT A HOMER HONEY chased the pace three wide, advanced and came four wide into the lane, was between foes by the furlong marker, then was bumped by the sixteenth marker and missed the show award. ONE TOUGH ROSE dueled for the lead with the winner and made a two wide bid to gain a short lead by the five sixteenths marker, then exchanged bumps with that rival leaving the quarter pole, then faded the final furlong. SMOKE AND MIRRORS was settled on the inside, swung out wide leaving the turn and stopped.
