Chart notes
HAGLER settled back off the rail on the opening turn then eased outward into the backstretch, bid leaving the three eighths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn, drifted into the stretch, dug in to get up the final yards and just lasted. RIDICULOUS steadied into the first turn but recovered stride through the turn, gave chase approaching the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail, dug in to take second the final yards and just missed the win. JAYJAYDEE steadied into the first turn and settled off the early pace, picked up the chase into the backstretch, raced in the four path on the far turn and finished well while gaining on the top two. ANTIPOISON was bumped, nearly unseating his rider into the first turn but took the lead at the nine sixteenths pole and rated the pace, came under pressure leaving the three eighths but was caught weakening in late stretch. IMPROBABLE STORY rated close to the early pace inside, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole then weakened in the three path of the far turn. DR. RUSTY RAYMOND took a brief lead into the first turn, was caught and gave chase toward the nine sixteenths pole but weakened at the rail on the far turn. BUTTONED UP set the early pace inside but suffered a fatal injury into the first turn and had to be euthanized on the track. The Stewards conducted an inquiry to review the incident into the first turn.
